Living in Florida and being a gardening enthusiast these last 10 years has made me somewhat of an amateurs' entomologist.
Here in the subtropics we live in " bug seasons".
Also wide spread use of pesticides has rendered our bugs somewhat super bug like.
I don't like the thought of DEET on my skin so I set out to formulate an essential oil based spray that would work here in the subtropics with our super bugs.
After about 20 failed formulas, we went on a vacation to the big island of Hawaii. While there I met an essential oil grower and experienced what I would describe as a "spiritual experience" with the volcanic soil on that island.
This powerful soil imparts it's magic to the things that grow there.
Voila' my formula needed that, Hawaiian magic.
We sourced oils from the islands and like the Aloha magic that is.....the Florida bugs wanted nothing to do with the newly formulated bug spray.
Just a small single or double spray will do.
